Myrtle Beach is going to be even more accessible for golfers in 2025, thanks to Allegiant Air.
The low-cost carrier that focuses on leisure travel recently announced the addition of three new nonstop flights to Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR).
Allegiant will begin offering direct flights to MYR from Plattsburgh, NY (PBG) on May 15, and Grand Rapids, MI (GRR) and Niagara Falls, NY (IAG) on May 22. The flights will operate twice weekly, providing a convenient option for golfers eager to hit the links along the Grand Strand.
Golfers from Michigan, upstate New York, and Canada’s border regions will especially benefit, as they will be able to quickly and affordably reach the nearly 90 courses that call the Myrtle Beach area home. The short flights – none of the trio take more than 2 hours, 15 minutes – allow the option to enjoy a day of arrival or departure round of golf.
Allegiant now offers service to 19 destinations from MYR. In addition to the three new destinations, Allegiant flies direct to Myrtle Beach from Allentown, Pa., Albany, N.Y., Newburgh (Stewart), N.Y., Syracuse, N.Y., Cincinnati, Ohio, Columbus, Ohio, Harrisburg, Pa., Hagerstown, Md., Fort Wayne, Ind., Belleville/St. Louis, Mo., Akron, Ohio, Lexington, Ky., Huntington, W.Va., Indianapolis, Ind., and Louisville, Ky.
Myrtle Beach is golf’s most popular destination, delivering a combination of quality and value other destinations are unable to match. Courses like Grande Dunes, Pawleys Plantation and TPC Myrtle Beach, among others, provide players access to top-100-caliber layouts, and the area continues to deliver the good times on and off the course that make a buddies trip so special.
