Hot Fish Club

The Original "Hot and Hot Fish Club" was founded near the end of the 18th century and was probably the first dining establishment in Murrells Inlet. The first clubhouse was said to be on Drunken Jack Island, located just a few miles south of the present-day Hot Fish Club, near what is now Huntington Beach State Park. Members of the club described their past time spent on the island as the "happiest hours" of their lives. The club was dismantled and finally laid to rest after the Civil War. An ever-shifting sand bar off the coast of Huntington Beach State Park is now all that remains of the original site of that Hot and Hot Fish Club.

House of Blues

House of Blues Myrtle Beach opened in 1997 and is located along the White Pointe Swash stretch of ocean thought to have been a favorite hiding spot for famous pirates such as Edward "Blackbeard" Teach and Anne Bonney. Home to unique pieces of folk art by Jimmy Lee Sudduth and Ruth Mae McCrane, House of Blues Myrtle Beach was built to resemble a Southern farmhouse with adjoining tobacco warehouse.

Sea Captains House

Sea Captain's House, a Myrtle Beach restaurant, was built in 1930 by Henry Taylor of High Point, NC. For 10+ years the Taylor family vacationed at their oceanfront beach cottage. During the 1940's, Charles W. Angle purchased the cottage, enjoying the sound of the ocean's tide until 1954 when Mrs. Nellie G. Howard purchased the cottage and began operating Howard's Manor. With nine guestrooms and three home cooked meals daily, the guesthouse was a forerunner in providing the warm southern hospitality Myrtle Beach is known for today. Howard's Manor was advertised as a place where friends meet each year with the beach at their front door.

The Palace Theatre

The Palace Theatre is located in the heart of Myrtle Beach in the award-winning Broadway at the Beach complex. The Theatre and grounds consist of 20 acres and there are approximately 600 parking and motor coach spaces on premises. The Theatre itself is an impressive 63,900 square feet and features a nearly 7,000 square foot, golden-domed lobby with three crystal chandeliers and a winged staircase leading up to the mezzanine level. There is no elevator on premises however ample wheelchair seating is provided on the orchestra level.
