Bill
Course in excellent shape, greens rolling great. Terrific staff
Scott
Course in great shape--generous off the tee, fun to play
JUSTIN
Great course. Good condition. Staff very helpful.
Bob
Excellent conditions. The course was in amazing condition and the staff was outstanding.
Scott
Very tough unforgiving course. If you don’t hit the fairways you are in trouble. Grounds were in great shape. Staff friendly and accommodating
John
well manicured from tee box to green
Carl
The course was in perfect condition and the staff and starter were great. The layout of the course is its strength. Every hole is unique and memorable and not only challenging for a low handicapper, but very playable for the average player from the forward tees. Can’t believe I’d never played here before. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend this course.
CLIFFORD
Good course
Dawn
Course was in great shape and was a nice track. The bag guys could have been a lot nicer; not even a “Good Morning” or “Welcome to Farmstead”
Dawn
George
It was our groups 25th annual trip to the Myrtle Beach area and we booked the East Coast 4 package which included a $100 gift card to be uses for food/beverage or in the pro shop. This was our groups 4th time playing the course and as we remembered, it was in terrific shape. The one black mark for the course...They would not accept the gift card in the grill/lounge though they are a member of the East Coast 4 package group.
Billy
Great staff course was in great shape. Loved the greens well maintained course. Played this course the past 5years we were down. Highly recommend this course
Henry
Great shape feels, fairways and greeens. Bunkers thin in some places Good staff and food service. Lacks enough water on course, only one place on each side. Par6 finishing hole is a beast. Need more energy
Michelle
Course in good condition considering many courses in Brunswick county have issues with greens and rest of course. Bring balls as plenty of places to loose them.
Russ
Haven't played here in several years. Got us on real quick ahead of a big group. Nice people, course in good shape , some winter burn on the greens but pin placements took them out of play
R
Had a nice time playing here. Greens great shape, but hard to read. Fairways nicely overseeded for winter, and the traps actually had sand in them. I have always felt this is the better course then the sister course at Meadowlands. Only thing I really don't care for is the par 6 finishing hole. Overall a good experience, and would play again.
Dave
Course was in good shape and fun to play. Pro shop reception was terrible. Took our money and barely said a word. Many area courses encourage players. Not Farmstead.
Timothy
We played on a very windy day, but the course is in great shape. No complaints at all. Staff was friendly and got us out on time.
Joel
I booked a tee time as a single this morning. I arrived 30 minutes early and went to the practice green. I was to be paired up with a twosome at 1:00. The course was very busy so I went with the expectation of playing a 5 hour round. While I was waiting the starter sent out 2 twosomes and a threesome. At 1:00 the twosome I was to play with had paid but they were no where to be found. At 1:05, after my tee time, the starter sent out a threesome. There is no excuse for the starter to make me wait 30 minutes and he made me wait after my tee time passed. He could have put me with at least 3 different groups. This is not the way to treat customers. You never know who that customer might be and what they may have to offer you. I recently relocated to North Myrtle Beach. I could have become a regular here but I won't return. There are plenty of other great courses to play on the Grand Strand. I can't tolerate bad customer service.
Nick
By far the gem of the trip. Saw a lot of good reviews but when we got there it really exceeded my expectations. The greens were the best that we played all week 9.5 out of 10. Tee boxes 9.0 out of 10. The only thing I can really pick at were that the fairways were a little thin in some spots but that is really nitpicking 8.0 out of 10. Pro shop staff was excellent. Grill was very helpful. Outside staff was good. Overall a must play right now.
Ron
1st time playing Farmstead. I will definitely play hear again. Great course!!
Jakob
Course is very fun!
Rob
Pretty open off the tee. When the wind kicks def makes a few holes real long.
Jim
Very rude pro shop manager who would not honour $45 late afternoon rates posted on Web site and wanted $79 and finally settled for $55. To add insult to injury, the course was grossly overbooked with tee times running over an hour late, which he failed to tell us.
Mandy
Good quality course but very busy was a slow round.
Morris
The fairways are wide and forgiving. Would like to see a course map on the scorecard. There was a ranger but a very slow two couple foursome two groups ahead of us and he didn't seem to push them along.
John
Incredible conditions, great variety and challenge, top notch facilities, highly memorable. Looking forward to returning in the future.
Rick
Nice course. Will come back again. Enjoyed the round.
N
Excellent.
Mike
Outstanding.
Ron
We play here often and is one of my favorite courses.
Tom
Very good.
Jerry
Excellent course.
Patrick
Pro Shop was fully stocked and tons of discounts. Bag Drop and Pro shop staff were very nice and helpful. The course is fun and challenging, and the greens were in great shape. great day of golf.
Larnold
Everything was great especially the par six and going from one state to the other.
Jeremy
The course was great from tee to green. Staff very nice.
Keith
Staff was very friendly and helpful. It helped make our day much more enjoyable!
Del
This is one great course the one could not ask for better fairways and greens. The course has something for every golfer and finishes up with a spectacular par 6 that is bordered by water on the left all the way to the green. Before and after the round, the staff were very friendly and easy to speak with. This course is a must play.
James
Fun course, good layout, enjoyed the par 6 hole. Best condition of the courses we played.
Glenn
Enjoyed the links style. Course is very enjoyable for a high handicap. Greens rolled true. Would definitely play again.
Jean-Marc
Eccellent layout. Next time we will play again if the sunshine is there.
Keith
We were fine.
Nick
Fun course ... no houses which is always enjoyable. Fairways and tees were excellent. Greens were spotting but still rolled true. Staff was not overly friendly but not rude by any means. Overall good experience, but with so many courses available just another one to knock off of the list.
Susan
This is a very nice, well-laid out course. It was interesting to play in two different states. The par 6 hole was just long; unusual but that doesn't make it all that interesting.
David
Course in great shape, staff very friendly and accommodating.
Nicholas
Good shape ... fairways and tees excellent, greens spotty but still rolled true. Fun course, no houses.
Dennis
Course is in great condition for early spring.
Steve
Course in good shape. Greens were fast but a little bumpy in areas (not unexpected for this time of year). Fairways are very wide. Lots of water but you really have to stray to find it. It was good starter course.
Gary
Narrow fairways with many sand bunkers. Fast greens.
Steve
Course was in good shape. Greens were fast. Fairways are very wide. Found course to be generally uninteresting. Par 6 finishing hold was fun. Great course to start your trip.
Charles
Everything in shape despite rain. An enjoyable course to play. Of course, #18 you have to play from tips, unless it's busy. A solid golf course. just know what tees to play from.
Graham
First time playing this course. A lot of water that did not come into play, making it a course that was visually pleasing. I think I will not play this course again. Greens were not very good.
Darwyn
Well manicured, sand traps have great sand, greens fast.
Terry
Wet, cold day, highs in low 30's made for a round I'll never forget. I thought the entire course was in very good condition and greens rolled fast and smooth. I will be back to play when weather improves. Kudos to Farmstead Staff from pro shop to greenskeepers.
David
Total experience was great!
Russ
Nice course and worth the drive.
Jason
The Par 6 is great!!!
Ron
The course was in excellent condition for the time of year. The fairways and greens were in almost perfect condition. The layout makes for a fun experience. For the condition, layout and price Farmstead is one of the best kept secrets on the Strand.
Scott
Great course. Better then expected.
Tully
Fun course straddling the Carolinas. Par 6 is crazy finish!
Michael
Overall a great time. Course was challenging yet playable. 18th was fun.
Carolyn
Wet and soggy grass planted to late and trying to catch up, poor groundskeeping. Puddles and wet spot everywhere. Greens need attention but not being worked on. Overpriced compared to others we played with.
Peter
Distance away from Compass Cove. Too far out.
John
Nice shirts for sale, bought one. Chapstick over 2 bucks no thanks.
Mark
Starter seemed like we were bothering him being there. Ranger was rude advising that we needed to hurry up. The group behind us was not waiting and we stayed just behind group ahead having to wait a couple times to tee off. We were paired with a couple and used 3 different tee boxes. Ranger bad.
Bart
Pace of play was excellent even with a full tee-sheet.
John
Just okay ... a lot of the holes were very similar.
Ben
Fun and challenging course. #18 the par 6 is fun to play. Only complaint we had was that the course was very crowded and pace of play for the morning round was okay, but the afternoon replay was very slow. no rangers keeping the groups moving and we had to play 18 in the dark. Only other complaint is that they had no snack cart on the course. With it that slammed, seems like they would have had one running with the amount of play they had. The cart guy did apologize after the round about the slow play, but it was a little too late. I would definitely play here again.
Jonathan
Overall player friendly!
Duncan
The course was in excellent shape. Greens rolled super nice.
David
This is the second time I played this course and again the rangers were so worried about keeping up with the being on schedule than they were about quality of your experience.
Marc
Great condition.
James
Course is in excellent condition. Greens roll well.
Joel
Although this was my least favourite I enjoyed playing the course. We had lengthy waits off the tees on the back nine which took some of the fun out of it. Got a little frustrated with the par 6 18th but all in all it was a good day.
Steve
Enjoyable experience.
Steve
Easily the best course we played during our stay. Weather was the only drawback, but the course is in great shape and the staff couldn't have been friendlier! Really enjoyed our round!
Mark
Great course with super fast greens.
Al
Beautiful course, well maintained. Very unique. Got to tee off in one state and play into another and the par 6 18th is a must to play. Great time.
Keith
Good.
Sam
Overall great course. Looking forward to playing there again.
Terri
It was raining the day I played so it's hard to judge but considering it's seemed like a very nice course. This is one course I will play when I come come back. I like you could play in the North and South. See you next year I hope.
Charlie
Very nice staff, all around.
Bob
First time I've played here and who could forget the 18th hole!! Nice and easy golf course to play on if you play from the tees you should. Wide fairways and pretty big greens. Good fun course to play.
Dave
Very good course considering the greens were recently top dressed. They were still quick and putted true.
Charles
Loved the par 6 finishing hole.
John
Excellent course! Very playable. The greens were in excellent condition, although a bit slow. The staff & starters were excellent.
Charles
Fabulous course. Greens were so true. Made lengthy putts. Par 6 finish was fun. Crossing state line unique. But, the course was in such good shape those unique things were secondary in remembrance.
Nick
1st time playing Farmstead. Great experience from check in to the 19th hole. Generous fairways, true and fast greens and an interesting track. Will play again.
Phil
Nice par 6!
Gary
Course was in great shape. Nothing tricky nothing unfair. Great layout, loved the par six. played from tips and made par!
Joe
Great track and maintained excellent. Will definitely return.
Buddy
Nothing because I was familiar with the course.
Jacob
Greens were punched on the 10th of June and were still showing some effects of it. overall a beautiful course, tough but rewarding layout, and an opportunity for some low scores.
John
Spectacular
Jennifer
Greens where in great shape, pace of play was a little slow
Richard
Everything was fine, found that grass on fairways could have been a little longer / thicker.
Larry
The par 6 The girl at the grill very friendly. liked the greens very true
Neal
A great course to warm up and has more generous fairways.
Dennis
Beverage cart would not take credit card
Steve
All aspects of the course was very enjoyable. Our group was only able to play the front nine due to thunderstorms. We deffently plan on playing again and recommend to all to play this course. The 679 yard 18th hole you will tee off in South Carolins and finish in North Carolina
Joseph
Very nice greens, fast for tiff Bermuda. The best value in Myrtle!
Rick
COURSE WAS VERY NICELY LAYED OUT. ALL HOLES WERE BEAUTIFUL
Randy
Really good
Thomas
Great new course. Very slick greens.
Richard
Very nice course. Love the par 6. Very unique. I only play a few times a year, and enjoy different course settings. Farmstead was very enjoyable, and staff were very nice.
Tony
Great Course..
James
Love the course layout and the par 6. I did not like starting on the back 9 as it was the best holes on the course. They need to have at least 2 or 3 people in the grill room as we tried to order breakfast 40 minutes before our tee time and were told that they may not be able to get us our food before our tee time because they had 1 person working the whole room.
Nick
Our group of 16 enjoyed Farmstead for the 2nd time in 3 years. The greens were not as a good as before but still at a high level. The course conditions are excellent and free of homes.
Steve
No. 18 is definitely unique and challenging at @ over 750 yrds & par of 6!
Jeff
Was late for our tee time and starter was accomodating to get us out to our group on the second hole, then allowed us to play the 2 holes at the end of the round. Was very greatful.
Richard
Dislike - slow play. No evidence of ranger/Marshall on the course to move things along.
Brian
Fantastic
Vincent
The overall layout of the course was great. I enjoyed the 18th hole. First par 6 in my 30 years of playing. From the moment we arrived to the time we left the staff was incredible. We felt like members. We will be back next year.
Mike
Our favorite course in the Myrtle Beach area. My golf group of 36 want to play this every year. From the bag handlers' to the starter to the Pro Shop personnel, everyone is professional, courteous, and very accommodating to our group. We have no complaints whatsoever regarding this course. A true winner.
Ian
Green in great condition
Gilbert
Overseeding and cart path only and wet fairways
Joseph
Over seeded fairway, but we could ride rough and they had cross over paths so as not to slow play. Good fair course with true rolling greens.
Andrew
Started us late, then told us we were not keeping pace. fairways and tees uncut.
Darlene
Course was overseeded and cartpath only. Course was not in great shape. Voted not to return to this course.
Michael
Green grass type
Sharon
Exceptional
Francis
I played farmstead before and really enjoy playing there. I love the par 6 even though I shot a 8 . The course was just re-seeded and we had to drive the carts in the rough. Also a very wide course in case your drive goes astray.
Norm
Third year we played this course... like the layout of the course.
Kenny
Loved the par 6 18th hole
James
Haven't played here for a few years and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the course...much improved...greens were outstanding...fair course for the weekend golfer
Richard
Love the greens. They always seem to be in excellent shape. Starters and pro shop were very helpful in getting us out when we showed up with our tickets but were not on their schedule.
Mr
Real Good
Frank
It was in beautiful shape, and play move real good
Rod
Play it every year and love the par six!
David
Great layout, greens in great shape
Phil
Everything was great.
David
Open. No blind shots for someone who has never been there
Trevor
The course was much better than I anticipated. Greens were fast but true. Great condition and a fun track overall! Would play again.
Mark
Didn't play Farmstead because course was closed due to rain, Ambassador relocated me and my playing partner to Long Bay. Course was wet, but playable. Tough course for a bogey golfer, but enjoyed the day. Thanks
Charles
I will never play at Farmstead again. There was one to two inches of water standing in all the fairways. They should have never allowed us to go out. They only said it was cart path only, not flooded. I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to consider Farmstead. To bad the layout looked interesting.
Todd
Farmstead was by far the best experience I have had in quite some time. From the captivating entrance to the thrilling par-6 finishing hole at the clubhouse, this course has made a lasting impression on me. I will be making this my go-to course so long as the course conditions remain near perfect when I played on 6/16. Thank you for the amazing round on a beautiful Sunday morning.
David
I have been coming the MB since 1989 and these were the best conditions I have played on, for a $50 green fee, worth more. Sand traps were in poor condition but that was due to the severe storms that hit the area a week earlier. Crews were working on traps. I will play again. One thing that would help is a course lay-out on score card or on tee box signs.
Todd
Nice course. Tees and fairways in very good shape. Greens were not terrible, but not the shape of the rest of the course. Would play again.
Henry
Course in excellent condition.
John
Played course on 5/24/2013. Greens, fairways and tees were really great. This was second time I played this course this year, the first being in the winter. This is a nice course and look forward to playing it again soon.
Robert
For my party is was a new course and we enjoyed the experience. The par 6 was a great challenge but we also enjoyed the entire course. we found it a little more forgiving which made it a good finishing round for our trip. They added a third with us who was an employee of the course. He was great and we really enjoyed playing along with him. Very friendly and helping by telling us best locations for shots to avoid hazards. Mike was the best.
Phil
This course was very pleasing to the eye. It played fair for an average golfer. The range was nice and the putting green was consistent with the course greens. I will return to this course.
Jeff
Beautiful course. In great shape. FAST greens. Challenging par 6 hole to finish. Enjoyed the day.
Lawrence
Enjoyed the course. Would play it again. Excellent staff.
Monty
We were connected with a couple from Canada, and they were a joy to be around and play with. We've been to Farmstead maybe 4-5 times, and each time has been good in terms of course conditions, people, staff, service, and most importantly weather! Hope to see you again this Summer.
Larry
Course was in better condition when I played here in 2011. Pace of play was very slow
Bob
This was my 3rd year coming to Myrtle Beach and to me this is one of the best maintained courses we have played. The layout was good and the overall conditions of the tees, fairways and greens was excellent. We played the course on 4/28 and our group didn't have enough good things to say about the course. The only issue we had all day was with the guy working in the ProShop during the late afternoon. A few of us wanted to replay another 9 holes but were told we couldn't because groups were coming through on both nines. It was 4:30 in the afternoon - we didn't see anyone coming back around to play the front. It seemed like he wasn't interested in stick around so he just wouldn't let us play another nine. In addition as were leaving he made some rude comments to the lady working the grill about our group. Other than this individual we found the rest of the staff to be extremely friendly.
Chuck
Due to early cool spring the course had not yet greened up; will certainly play here again!
Thomas
Loved the 17th Played with a lovely couple from West Va and had a great time. We did not have to wait hardly at all.
Tim
Loved 18
Nathan
Was NOT impressed about 5 some policy, pace was great first 9, slower on the back. Don't know if I would reccomend course with that policy
Larry
Needs improvement
David
I live in MB. My brother, his 2 boys, and several other friends come down for an annual spring golf outing. I personally love the Farmstead golf course. It's one of my favorites here on the Grand Strand. My brother and his two boys enjoyed it very much as well. It's always a pleasure to play Farmstead. Course it very well maintained and playable. Staff is very pleasant. Love your logo...the rooster with multi-colored feathers. Will be back again.
John
This is a nice course and will play this again. The fairways were, for the most part, excellent. The greens were almost great but not quite. Only problem I had, and this is not the staff's fault, was the twosome I was paired with to make a threesome didn't want anyone to join them. The starter was very nice about it and let me tee off on 10 but ended up a single sandwhiched between 4 somes. In over 50 years of playing I never had this happen before. Made for a long lonely day but it was so nice a course it was a good day.
Gerald
Very nice experience. Would play again.
George
Loved everything about this course, will play again.
Bobby
We played 13 rounds of golf this trip and Farmstead was one of the best. We are 8 to 18 handicappers and this course provided the opportunity for each of us to score well. Wide fairways, reasonably fast greens and a beautiful setting. We felt like we were the only players on a hidden gem of a course in the woods. Highly recommended. P.S. Love the southern cartgirl accents.
Dean
Wide open and very forgiving, fairways were in excellent condition. A great place for a hacker like me.
Steve
Excellent layout. Friendly staff.
Mark
Great track.
George/Sue
Very fair and pleasant course for the average golfer to play.
Steve
Good first hole for a weeklong trip. Wide landing zones, good sight line from tee to green.
James
The staff was good the starter was full of information that was helpful.
Bob
Great course, good challenge.
Roger
(Liked) the layout, the staff who was able to change my tee time without a hassle.
Debs
Very nice conditions from tee, fairway and greens. Enjoyed play. A little slow pace of play. I did not like that you had a long walk to practice range and could not take your cart.
Leroy
Starters and rangers very friendly and helpful, greens were smooth, fun but challenging layout, awesome finishing hole!
William
Fun course to play.
Joseph
(Would like to have known prior to play) that there would be a half hour wait at the turn and would take 3 hours to play the back 9. All courses need to stop overbooking the morning double tees.
Timothy
I thought the greens were great. They rolled true.
Royce
The course was open yet very challenging for any handicap golfer.
Steve
The last hole - par 6 was fun to play. The overall layout and course conditions were excellent. A fun course to play.
Tim
Great course, nice people! I would play it again.
Laura
We LOVED this course! The greens were slick and rolled true. We loved the challenging layout, the beauty of the course and the friendly staff. Paul the Starter was very knowledgeable, and the bartender poured us a perfect martini afterwards. We will be back next year, and we have been telling anyone who will listen to play Farmstead! PS ... Dennis Rabon tipped us off to this great course.
Patsy
Farmstead may have been the nicest course we played during our stay; however, the experience just wasn't as good as River Hills and Myrtlewood - Palmetto. The staff wasn't as inviting as the aforementioned locations. The course was extremely busy. In fact, the course decided to double tee each hole. Finally, the greens were recently aerated. The greens/fringe combination made it a very difficult day chipping. The greens were extremely hard and lighting fast, but the fringe was very soft and plush. If a chip shot hit the fringe, it was stopping immediately. The course is very open with some extremely wide fairways.
Erskine
Would have liked to see how course or hole lays out. Either with scorecard, tee marker or range book.
Raymond
Great golf course at a great price.
Chris
Very courteous service from bag boy to starter. We knew the greens had been punched a few weeks earlier but decided to play anyway since neither of us had played here. We were very surprised at the great course conditions, the excellent fairways, bunker conditions (for the most part) but were especially surprised at the condition of the greens. Very consistent, very smooth, not marked up at all and easy to repair ball markings. We will recommend your course to everyone we know. Thank you for making our day a memorable one. Only negative we had was the heat index that day, ugh. We'll be back.
Terry
No trees for shade. Would not go back.
Raeford
Loved the course but played in extremely windy conditions.
Bob
Farmstead is our favorite Myrtle Beach area course. The staff is great and we have always found course conditions to be as good as any course in the area. Expect a 4 1/2 hour round unless you have an early tee time. If there was anything to improve, I would suggest figuring out how to have beverage cart service in both states.
Mark
Great layout, nice greens. Only complaint was POP ... about 5 hrs.
Todd
Greens were smooth and fast. Wide fairways. Hit to 150 stake and avoid trying to cut blind corners. Really enjoyed the course and will play again when visiting.
Robert
There was rain around us the day we were supposed to play and we were given rain checks with no problem, no hassle.
David
Nice layout. Enjoyed making shot decisions. Loved the Par 6.
Michael
Played the first 9 holes (back) in 2 hours and the 2nd 9 in 3 hours (waiting on every shot). Overbooking the cause of the back 9 slowness. Starter stated this is normal everyday happening. Didn't seem to care.
Dave
We played this course last year and our group wanted to go back. This year, the consensus was that we would not be back. None of us liked the greens at all. They were cut short and were really fast. That would be OK, except there was sand all over them and every little grain made the putts roll off line. There were also 2 very slow groups in front of us. The marshall came by a couple of times but it never got any faster.
Keith
Great layout. No houses on course. Big fast greens.
Muriel
This was a nice forgiving course and we enjoyed our time there. The weather was very windy and cold, which made the day a little longer. Bill, our golf mate, made the entire experience a wonderful one.
Travis
Nice layout and course conditions. Service could use improvement but that is not why our two groups go to courses. Would play again.
James
Very good conditioning.
Tom
Great course, would tell everyone to go.
Bob
It was nice. Our group is not a fan of links-type golf and prefer courses with more scenic appeal but did enjoy the round.
Robert
We enjoyed this course very much. If we come back to vacation we will be back to play.
Bill
Picked this off your Web site - based on the player rating - and they were right.
Les
I tell everyone that Farmstead is a must-play.
Adrian
All staff we met were very courteous - we fully enjoyed our day.
George
Very enjoyable round of golf. Scenic, attentive staff, beautiful greens and fairways.
John
Wide open. of course number 18 is unique. Number 2 and 3 took an hour to play. I wish that congestion did not happen.
Ted
Liked the course a lot and staff was nice. Got behind a foursome of very slow players which was disappointing.
Peter
Nice course, well kept for this time of the year, a nice value. Thanks.
Donnie
Great place to play and will try to play in 2012.
Jerry
It would have been nice to know about the 90-man tournament that was there the day we played. Slow play is not fun.
B
Very nice.
Paul
Loved the par 6. Nice layout, good conditions. No complaints at all.
Neil
We were told we could play a replay, when we got there, when we finished they said we could not, we had to argue with pro shop to be allowed to go back out, by then we could only play 9 holes.
Wayne
Was beautiful. Hole description on the tees would have been helpful.
Ray
Par 6 was fun.
Mark
Good course, good conditions.
Ron
Very windy cold and damp. Greens very fast for the conditions which made it hard to putt. Ha d a good time otherwise.
Bill
Played through and after some fairly hard rain, course rebounded exceptionally well.
Allen
Fun course. The course was in great shape.
John
Our foursome was very impressed with the condition of the course. The course was in A+ shape. The par 6 was a lot of fun.
Don
This course is one of our favorites. The greens are always in good condition and fast. Played on a Sunday afternoon and since the course was essentially empty, no beverage cart. A few more places to get water on the course would be good. A fun place to play and we always enjoy the par 6!
Kevin
Great course. Very enjoyable. Certainly would like to visit again.
Gerald
Good layout. Above average greens. The par 6 keeps me coming back.
Ed
Sign me up for another tee time.
Luke
Course was awesome. Some of the fastest greens we've ever played.
Fred
It was the best course that I played this trip. Greens fabulous, overall condition excellent & pace of play was super. I'm coming back here next year.
Mike
Loved the par 6. Great layout.
Than
We enjoyed the course. Since it is early season, the fairways/greens were not yet up to expectation.
Mark
First time at Farmstead, will play again. Fairways some of the best I've ever played! Par 6 was a lot of fun too.
Jim
Great layout and fairways. Greens are great on the front, but not so good on the back nine.
Lonnie
We enjoyed playing the course. It was a favorite along with Myrtle Beach Nation South Creek course. The course was in great shape.
Ron
Loved #18, never played a par 6 before. We will be back as we loved the course.
Henry
Restriction to cart-path-only though course appeared to have drained well. Would also like to know that there is no beverage cart service on the back nine. It was stated to us that the course did not have a South Sarolina license but isn't that part of doing business in 2 states?
James
Scorecards lacked course layout. Other than that, it was a great experience.
Tom
Played on 3-10-11 before the rains came. We all thought it was a good layout and interesting. We loved the par 6. Pro shop could have been a little friendlier. I had that challenge coupon and wanted buy a sweatshirt but not allowed only shirt shirts. I would still come back.
Chris
Always a great time at Farmstead, this was our 3rd or 4th year playing it in a row, and most likely will be back next year. The group likes it so much that we make it the day we all dress up in our knickers. Every fun course is a must-play!
Larry
Interesting 18th hole.
Jeremy
Great place to start off the week. Always in great condition!
Brian
No tricks, good condition for winter. would play again. 9 hole replay rate too high.
Jean
Played on Dec. 30. Course was in good shape for this time of the year, greens were great (a bit slow). Staff was great except for the starter (rude, not friendly at all).
Joe
Good course.
Joe
Fair course; I would play it again.
Michael
The round took 5.5 hours; the marshals need to keep the pace of play up.
Ben
Greens were great. They still have someone begging for money on a par three hole, which we don't care for. We have photos from two previous annual visits to Farmstead, but they did not offer that this year. Need more water on golf course!
Steen
Played this course on August 27. The best greens that I've seen this summer in the area. Very nice and super fast, can't get any better than that. Course layout is made for a good challenge, not too tough but you still have to play ball to score well. Staff was friendly, and all in all a good golfing experience worth more than the price paid.
Philip
Good experience.
Daniel
I needed a lesson amd the pro Jason was very, very good. Excellent!
DeWayne
The greens were in excellent condition. Better than most courses that I have played in a while.
George
Fairways and greens were great. Pro shop staff was great help, and got us squared away fast. We had a heavy rain just after starting the back nine, so we pulled off at the restroom building to wait it out. After the rain, we continued play, as we would at our home course. After about an hour, one of the marshals finally came around the course, and told us to pick up and leave. When we asked when the horn to close the course was blown, he was rude. We were playing with two locals who had played there several times before, and they were surprised at the way we were treated. They agreed that no horn was blown, or we would have all left the course. Turned an otherwise great course a little sour. We might play there again, but they need to do a better job of double teeing, they had someone teeing off on #1 when we made the turn for our back nine.
Dave
Did not feel pushed as tee times were spaced out! Great Time! The Par 6 hole was a great challenge and a neat experience!
Randy
I took a lesson there ... it helped me a lot ... will come back.
Rick
Wow, The course was outstanding. Fairways are plush and the greens are like putting on a pool table. Staff was friendly and polite. Only issue was with the misleading charity thing they do on hole #3. Should have known better. Nothing comes for free. They ask you for $10 donation and you get coupons for stuff in and around MB, they tell you that you receive a FREE Wedge, not true, you have to pay $28 for shipping & handling. Only useful coupon was a free draft beer.
Jeff
This course tested everyone in our group. The starter/staff was superior.
Gary
I would suggest you avoid this course unless you are fine with a 5 hour plus round. Our group played the course on 3/15/2010. Overall the course was in good condition other than the greens being very hard. Pitch and run golf is required. While playing the first nine, the marshall advised us we were playing too fast (2 hour 10 minute pace). Later in the round we started experiencing a wait on each hole. After playing 9 holes, we discovered that there were 5 groups lined up on the tee. We experienced a 36-minute delay before we could start our second nine. The second nine was very slow. Be advised that the course allows fivesomes and when we inquired we were told by the staff that fivesomes do not slow the pace of play. We saw little very little concern for customer satisfaction. An employee of the course informed us that as long as we keep having 230 golfers a day we won't change anything.
Steve
we had a 40 minute delay at the turn...... to many groups
Clint
On a couple of holes the drainage area was the sand.
Anthony
18th hole was awesome.
William
Very fair golf course. Well maintained.
Ben
This course is a little bit easy but enjoyable to play.
Wayne
Nice layout and the greens held the ball well.
Terry
Loved the 18th hole Par 6. A beautifully maintained course.
Lise
Very nice golf course but the marshal didn't go out on the golf course some times and it was so long to play.
Bill
Good value for the price, which kept our overall package price down. Had played this course on previous trip and returned due to shape/price.
Rob
Another course that has become a favorite. Great conditions and the greens were superb.
Don
Was familiar with the course. Still like it very much and hope to play it again soon. Considering the number of rounds it carries, it was in GREAT shape.
Brian
Great course. Greens were the fastest we played all week. Will play again.
Bob
Excellent experience - staff was very friendly and courteous.
Doug
Slickest greens I have played this year. Great conditions; I had a great time challenging the course and myself. I would play it again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend this track.
Jeremy
Course was great as always. People are friendly, conditioning is perfect, we will come back every year.
Richard
Had to tee of an hour late because they overbook the course. The wouldn't even load our clubs on a cart and let us take it to the range. Staff was rude. Took us 4 hours to play the first nine holes! Nice course but I would NOT repeat. Very poorly managed.
Jeremy
Farmstead was in great shape as always. It sits to the North of some of the other courses, but you can always count on great conditions at both it and its sister course, Meadowlands. The price was reasonable and the pace of play ideal.
William
Have played here before, but will not include in nextg year's rotation.
Bill
Very nice course with a great finishing hole.

The golf course was in excellent shape and it was the first time I had played there. I was in love with everything till we made the turn. I will NEVER play this course again unless theylearn how to run a club. When we finished the front 9 we had played it in 2 and half hours. IT took us another 3 and half hours to play the back 9 because of the way they booked tee times. They had groups just starting their round on the back 9 while groups were getting ready to finish on the back nine. At one point we had 5 groups on a PAR 3 THAT IS RIDICULOUS. Again great shape nice course poorly ran.
Rob
Wonderful course. The staff did a commendable job to get everyone out on the morning of 3/3/09 due to a significant overnight frost. They shotgun started everyone just after 10am.
Marty
sent people off 1 & 10 promoting slow play so they could put more golfers on golf course. for the first time in my life the starter told us we were playing to fast we needed to slow down. the grill room girl would not fix me a hot sandwich and we had to wait for 20 minutes to start on hole #1 which was our back nine I WILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN we played with 2 members and that was the only enjoyable aspect of the day. the 2 gentleman we played with told us that 2 weeks earlier they played with 2 other visiting golfers and it took 6 hours to play the round. never again
Michael
Very slow, did not realize that this course averages over 5 hours. Love the par 6! This was the best conditioned course we played all week.

Played Oct. 15, 2008: Very slow, did not realize that this course averages over 5 hours. Love the par 6! This was the best conditioned course we played all week.

Played Oct. 7, 2008: Sent people off 1 & 10, promoting slow play so they could put more golfers on the golf course. For the first time in my life, the starter told us we were playing too fast, (and that) we needed to slow down. The grill room girl would not fix me a hot sandwich and we had to wait for 20 minutes to start on hole #1, which was our back nine. I WILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN. We played with two members, and that was the only enjoyable aspect of the day. Played 3, 2008: The staff was tremendous. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. From the bag drop to the pro shop to the starter, everyone was top-notch.
