I love playing this course. In late September or early October I'm able to play by myself which pits me against the course. Love it. Challenging layout, great conditions, and very friendly staff.

Friendly people, very average course ... fairways needed cutting ... greens were fine ... traps were mostly unplayable.

Very well kept. Nice relaxing flow to game. Downfall homes way to close to the course. Almost at least half the hole had no margin for a misfit without a home coming into play. Thercart path. At least 4 holes where you had fairway or homes. 2 holes where backyards and home right on otherwise of cart path. Another downfall was we booked and paid with special for range balls and lunch as well only to get there early enough for the 4 of us to take some swings to find out there was no range. However we paid like there was. All in all staff was great, grounds were well kept However course layout makes it hard to enjoy if you want to enjoy the company of not so great golfers.

Nice and friendly staff, tee boxes and greens need some work but all other areas of the course were in good shape. Worth the price $67 total for 2 for 18 and a cart.

Great. The pace was a little quick. There was a group of 4 ahead of me, so they took a little while longer than I did and the guy behind me. But nice course.

Course was well maintained and fun to play. I, however, will NEVER come back to this course, or recommend it to any others. rnrnWhat started as a pleasurable and relaxing day on the course was immediately and completely ruined by the disgusting rudeness of the staff upon our return to the clubhouse after playing the front 9. We are novice players, and had one first time player in our threesome, so we were in no rush. When we arrived at the clubhouse we found the pro shop employee and bag drop employee outside waiting on us. The first thing said to us by the bag drop employee was, "It took you three and half hours to play 9 holes of golf?!?!" He knew we had a beginner with us, since we told him upon arrival. We also found out that we were one of two groups on the course that afternoon, and the other was in front of us. We were interfering with no other players, or their pace of play. He then asked us in a very condescending tone if we planned to play on because there was no way that our pace of play would allow us to finish and have the cart back to the clubhouse by 30 minutes prior to sunset, and that his "bossman would have [his] head of he was there even that late." This happened at 5:00, with at least another 2.5 - 3 hours left prior to sunset. He also said that "now isn't a good time to try and teach someone how to play," and that fall would have been more appropriate. That isn't his decision to make. My friend's desire to play at this time should not be any of his concern, and it wasn't like we were doing this on a crowded course, holding up other players.rnrnAlso, after being on the course in 90 degree temperatures for an extended period of time the clubhouse was definitely a planned stop for a quick bathroom break and some cool air. The clubhouse had been closed, lights off and locked up. When my wife approached the door to find it locked, the pro shop employee said, "Oh, you want to go in?" When my wife indicated that yes, she needed to go in and use the restroom, he just stood there. She had to ask him if he was going to come unlock the door, and he seemed shocked that she did in fact need to go in, so he reluctantly pulled his keys out and unlocked the door to let her in.rnrnIt seems as though we were simply interfering with the employee's desire to not be at work. We were effectively guilt tripped into not continuing our round of golf that we purchased, so we left after having the opportunity to complete only 9 holes. The website for this course boasts that it is great for beginners, but we were met with exactly the opposite. The rudeness of the employees was completely uncalled for.rnrnI would like for the general manager of the club to call me as soon as possible to discuss the behaviors of these employees, and how they plan to rectify the situation at hand. If we do not hear anything within the next couple of days my wife will be reaching out to the club directly, and she is more upset than I am. 9806221317

Colonial Charters Golf Club is a very nice course to play people are friendly of course was in decent shape. I would definitely try to come back and play again

Course is always in poor to fair condition . A 20.00 course at best. It has been a wet season and course was over watered around greens.

I had not played this course since it was in total disarray in 2009 when bankruptcy hit the housing market. At that time, the course was a mess. I played today and was surprised. The course is in pretty good shape. Greens are fine, fairways over seeded for the winter, and the sand traps actually had sand. Par 71 course with 5 par 3's. Back nine is tough, and as an earlier comment stated. There are some narrow fairways on about 1/3 of the holes that are going to make you be a good shot maker.

I'm a local and played here 2 years ago. It was not good. It has improved alot. Greens rolled good. A few fairways could use some work. I will be back to play.

Never heard much good about this course, but I was pleasantly surprised, a nice course, with friendly local staff and customers. Only comment is the yardages on the par 3's seemed way longer than they really were.

Played three courses while on vacation. Course was better than Crown Park but not as good as River Hills. All in all not a bad course. The lady in the snack bar was nice.

The course was in poor condition. Poor greens and half the fairways were not up to quality conditions. Played it on a recommendation. Bad choice. Spent a little more money and go somewhere else.

Course was in good shape aside from the greens. Many of the greens had bad spots on them. Even in that condition this is a nice little course to play your just into town warm up for the week round.

Good course for the price

Last time I played here it was called Palmetto Greens and it was not in good shape. Finally went back to play and it was 100 times better shape. Not a hard course but it was fun to play.

Great warm up course for the price. Short but lurking trouble...fairways lacks grass even at this time of the year. Get ready to play crowned / domed greens.

My wife and I are down from Canada for a week and have played here twice. We thought that course was in great shape compared to the other course around.

Fun course. It has enough of a challenge for a mid level golfer like me without being too tough.

It has a laid-back atmosphere. The layout will test your accuracy with narrow, fairways and a variety of water hazards and sand traps. I think we encountered water on nearly every hole, two of them with greenside waterfalls.
