Fun design to play, some challenging holes but also some where you can make some birdies if you're hitting it well. Very friendly staff, well organized and efficient at the bag drop. Look forward to playing PineHills again soon.

They had us start on the back nine. It took 2 hours and 50 minutes to play just the back nine. Took a look at the back up on the first hole and decided we had enough.

Course in great shape, fun layout, every hole is different. Pace of play was less than 4:20...very enjoyable day with good friends

Do NOT play here on weekend mornings. We were told they double teed and would have to wait upon arriving at Hope 10 - itself an unacceptable idea. Upon arriving at 10, we were told that a twosome playing nine holes was being put in front of us. We waited about an hour between finishing 9 and teeing off on 10. Will certainly not be returning unless they change their tee time policy. It is not normal no matter how many times they say “we told you you’d have to wait”. Course is in good shape, layout just ok. Palmetto course is better.

Myrtlewood PineHills was a decent course with narrow fairways. Most of the bunkers had standing water and it was cart path only. Myrtlewood Palmetto was a much nicer course with a great layout. We played 4 rounds at Myrtlewood Palmetto and 1 round at Myrtlewood PineHills. I would recommend playing Palmetto before PineHills.

It was ok. It needs a little attention on some holes. For example, Hole 13 has flooded sand traps.

Love this course. Always in great shape, design is interesting, and if you don't score well you only have yourself to blame. Also a great course to walk.

Very playable well maintained fair course.

early rain made the greens really slow, after drying out, they were much better. Tee boxes were shaggy, but fairways were in good shape. Sand traps were like water hazards due to the amount of rain

Excellent courses (both), very open and inviting with enough hazards to keep it interesting.

As one of MB older courses I wanted to experience that nostalgic feel. Just enough water for my liking, pretty views with a mix of difficult and easier holes.

I like the course and the value so much I played it three times.

It’s a beautiful open course and very invited. Had a great time the person getting us set up Henry was fantastic and very helpful. The course was prime even though it had rained the day before. Overall it was great.

I’ve played about 80% of courses in the Myrtle Beach/Calabash area and the staff at Myrtlewood was the most friendliest I’ve experienced. The course was in great condition. I would come back just because I was welcomed with very friendly people.

the course is long and it was made even longer by restricting the use of carts to cart paths only. I understand the reasoning behind the rule but I was disappointed that we weren't told about it until we arrived at the first tee

We only played 10 holes because it poured on us. The course was nice though. I was very unhappy bc although I was told we would be able to use rain checks the next day bc they double booked Pine Hills in afternoon and the rangers did not speed the group up in front of us on the Palmetto course we played a 5 hour round and did not get to use our rain check the next day.

A very playable layout with great spring conditions. The greens were firm and true, the fairways were generous and in great condition. A great place to play.

This is as good as it gets when it comes to golf in Myrtle Beach. This course was probably in the best shape of any course in all of Myrtle Beach. Beautiful club house with great food and the staff was awesome. I would play here everyday if I could.

Course layout is a bit confusing for first time players and not as intriguing as pine hills but still a fun course.

I play for the high school golf team and i thought that this was an amazing course and the guy who helped us out (Anthony) was an amazing person and really nice and the service there was really nice as was the course was beautiful.

I have played here many times and it's always enjoyable.

One of my favorite Myrtle Beach courses, I could play this course every day and never be disappointed. A minor amount of fungus on a couple of greens can be expected this time of year. All in all an outstanding value and great to play.

Was told that they had just over seeded and could not tell.

Attempted to play this course in the early afternoon. The rate was much higher than any of the other courses in the area, $58.00. But what's worse is the treatment outsiders receive from the staff in the pro shop. Very rude very pompous and obvious they don't want outsiders playing their course. It's to bad because up until a couple years ago my kids and I would sink several hundreds of dollars into playing the course while staying at Myrtle Wood for a couple weeks. Not anymore. After the 2nd year being treated like garbage by the pro shop staff we will no longer spend any money there. There are too many options close by.

Called pro shop for tee time on Palmetto course. Shop said greens 80% heeled after maintenance. Very disappointed after we loaded carts and were sent to Pine Hills course. I tried to politely voice my concern, but was totally ignored. Would have never played Pine Hills with so many other choices for less money and better layout. Greens in horrible condition. Fairways and tee boxes very nice, but greens not even close to 80% heeled.

The course was wet, so cart path only. The staff were pleasant to deal with which makes for a nice day. It's very wet so it plays long. The greens were a little sluggish but playable. The only thing that was negative was the guy SMOKING in the crowd at the bag drop, I don't think that the staff should allow smoking near the customers.

I had a tee time booked for 9 a.m. on New Year's Day. The practice range was closed which was understandable and expected. My 9 a.m. tee time was given to a huge group outing on this course. To be flexible and understanding I told the attendant that my party would be happy to move our tee time to the Myrtlewood Palmetto Course. The starter was very nice and explained the rules and restrictions completely. On the third hole, a group of golfers were behind us. The group behind us yelled and were rude to our group as we approached to hit our balls. Mind you that the course was under water and was cart path only, also understandable and great decision by the greens staff. So we let the inconsiderate group play through. On the eight hole on our second shots the ranger told us we needed to keep up with the group on front of us. I even carried my bag on several holes so that we could stay within the pace of play. We were only maybe five minutes slower than we should have been. I told him we let them play through he said he didn't care we needed to keep up with their pace. They were running through the water soaked fairways to get to their balls. It would seem to me that the ranger would know that the play was going to be a little slower than usual because of the course conditions and restriction. The reason I know this is because I work a golf club and know how things work. My group paid $54 each to play. Our decision to do so, is it to much to ask that a ranger know the conditions and restrictions and be a little considerate to guests of the club. The cart we were assigned to was dirty, it had burnt matches and cigar wrappers in the cubbies of the cart. I would not recommend this course or courses to anyone ever. They seem to be just in the business to get the money and have no clue about customer service. If anyone chooses to play at either of these courses, just know not to expect to much from the staff. We left and didn't finish our round of golf.

Scored the fairways and the greens low on the survey due to the fact the course was extremely wet. Nothing that could be controlled. I walked about 700 miles that day as well due to the entire course being cart path only, again due to excessive rain.

This course was a little harder than we thought it would be but it was a beautiful course, well taken care of and we had a great time.

Played 8-2-13. 7:56 am tee time. Great course and layout. Loved the course and would go back. Challenging but not too hard. Bunkers were not in best shape but rained hard the day before. Greens nice. Fairways in good shape. Fun to play and we got done in 4 hours and 10 minutes and it was packed. Did not get anything in grill but grabbed a beer from cart girl. A couple fun holes. Enjoyed the par 5 on the back where you could cut the dogleg right with drive over tall tree and go for it in 2. Must say it is only course I have played where bag attendants don't unload clubs. Didn't mind it, but found it odd. Maybe because they are so busy. I can't wait to play the Palmetto course on next trip

You have no Marshall I have never taken that long to play a game in my life 5 1/2 hours for 18 hole s that is wrong. You apparently over book your course won't play there again

All around perfect for the course I was their at 7:15 no staff the help with the clubs doing other things.

Great Staff that was polite, knowledgeable and eager to help make the overall golf experience wonderful. Have visited both courses many times with the top conditions. Would recommend for all levels of playing ability.

Busy course we only played nine holes because we arrived late after long drive from michigan.

Second time playing this course and it is one that I would come back and play again.

Have played both Myrtlewood courses and both times the experience was a very good one. I expect I will be back in the near future.

Though not a long course, the bunkering and presence of water provided plenty of challenge for my level of play.

This is our favorite at Myrtlewood. Shorter than Palmetto, we had many more chances at hitting the greens in reg. Just beautiful!

Great course in excellent condition. Lots of bunkers of which I found most. Wide fairways made the course playable for all. My only complaint is the greens were very slow!!!

I had called and made a starting time at Myrtlewood. When I questioned the price, he referred me back to the online reservation. When I made a reservation through you and called back, he politely canceled the prior reservation I had made. It was a pleasant, no-hassle day.

The course is short but lots of fun!

A late add-on course before I left because of the price and proximity to where I was staying. What a pleasant surprise, a lot of really nice holes, I was very impressed with the greens and traps. Didn't play well today but that was my fault. Very nice course,I would recommend it.

Greens were not in great condition. Older course with sand base greens and most of them has been recently aerated. Waited way to long to cut grass on the course ... clumps everywhere. Tee boxes a little rough to other courses in the area. I would rate it a 7 out of 10, mostly because of the price.

I have played golf many times over the years and I have to say this course was one of the best maintained courses I have EVER played. The grounds crew keeps it in BEAUTIFUL shape. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Nice course, open fairways, plenty of water and sand traps for the average golfer. Ambassador Golf gave my family a great value for an above average Myrtle Beach golf course. Staff was very professional.

Great range, and chipping area to get you ready to start the round. Not a long course, but a great design that makes you think it through. Pars are a good score on most holes, but birdie chances definitely exist. Water and bunkers strategically placed make shaping shots a must. Had a great experience and would definitely come back, just to try the Palmetto Course.

The course was very challenging, tons of sand to play in. It appeared that the greens were recently aerated which made the greens terribly slow and hard, hard to get in the hang of.

Lucky to get a game in every year before they aerate it. Feels like home. Played it for 42 years. Good enough for a higher handicapper.

Excellent experience all around, as usual. Myrtlewood has always been the most favorite course to play for both my wife and I.

An excruciatingly slow pace of play; round took well over 5 hours. Course was (or so it appeared) putting as many people out as they could whether they had a tee time or not to the detriment of all. On top a that, a truly unremarkable golf course.

Did not know they were double booking tee times which we had to wait for after the first nine played.

Very playable course. Greens in great shape but on the slow side. Many opportunities for penalties with an errant shot. Played in under 4 hours but course not crowded.

Nice layout, in good shape, not overly difficult. A little upset that Golf Now tee time wouldn't function, and ended up paying an extra 8 bucks to play. Played in a little over 4 hours, which was a refreshing change at this time of year.

Very nice course. good condition. Had an 8:22 tee time. Teed off 15 minutes late. Quit after 15 holes and 4:30 on the course. Was going to be a 5:30 round. Marshall was polite and tried to move people along but did not work.
