Nice layout, good conditions.

Enjoyed playing there again, but rough was extensive and challenging, especially for weekend golfers. Greens were true and consistent. Staff was friendly.

People we talked to while in MB felt the South Creek was the less favorable to play out of the three courses available. We found this course to be perfect for our golf handicap. It was in great shape and gave us a chance to score favorably from the white tees. I would defintely play it again.

We enjoyed the South course. The sand areas took us by surprise but we liked playing there, the people who work there were great to us and we would recommend it.

Club drop was friendly and helpful, front dest super friendly and quick, golf cart lady friendly not pushy, golf cart drop quick and friendly. Great experience for my Son and on to have a quick round under 4 hrs with very nice conditions and we see improvements and irrigation was being added for any tee boxes drying out otherwise greens rolled true and fairways beautiful.

started on the back 9, tee boxes looked like they had not been mowed for a week. The fairways were bare, no grass, hitting off of hard pan! They are working on putting a sprinkler system in, but don't bother telling you. The only hole that had grass was #18, nice fairways. Moving onto the front 9, it was much better, green fairways, but the greens were bumpy and wet. The mowing grew was in the fairway on #7, two tractors mowing in the fairway back and forth and would not stop so you could tee off. Once you got teed off into the fairway they ran as close as possible while you hit your second shot. After that we gave up in frustration and left the golf course.

Friendly course if you keep the ball in the fairway, not overly long and we enjoyed it. Staff does a nice job having 3 courses there

Myrtle Beach National - South has become very quickly in the bottom of our list. The West course along with Kings North Are still worth playing. But the south track is getting very little attention and becomes a very average, or below average track. And don’t go there hungry because not only is it a very limited menu, but the ladies behind the counter somehow think that they are doing you a favor with their mere existence. It takes forever to get anything. The remainder of staff is somewhat friendly with exception to some stuffinous in the pro shop.. Don’t waste your time with South!

Course was in good condition, brown in some spots. 1st round of the year so was just glad to be out playing. Paired up with nice gentlemen who were very helpful with the course management. Would come back to play again.

First several holes are tight through housing development but opens up and improves a great deal, especially on the back 9. Conditioning was good but a stark difference coming off Kings North.

South Creek was a fun course to play. MBN is always a great spot to play a round of golf. The greens were the best we played all week.

True to the reviews, no forgiveness if the shot isn't on par. We had a great time and made some excellent memories. So much so, some of our party came back to play North the next day.

Played the south Creek at 830am and west course at 230 pm last Saturday May 5. Courses were in excellent condition, great and super friendly staff and we really enjoyed our games. Will be back for sure !!

Got to the course to checkin and they told me "I don't think this is on our website, but we aerated the greens". So, I'm at the course, already made a reservation, have a group of golfers coming, what do they expect me to do? I reluctantly went ahead and paid and played the course. They aerated the greens AND fairways and the conditions as you would expect, not good. Did they offer any discount becuase of the condition (aeration) - NO! Should they have - YES! I certainly would not have made a tee time OR played the course had I known of the condition of the course.

This was one of my favorite courses down in Myrtle Beach. It's not the longest course out there but you have to think on every shot. Also I got a hole in 1 on number 17 helps. In all though it's one of the most beautiful courses out there.

I just finished the slowest round I've ever played in Myrtle Beach and I play here a lot. When we made the turn to the front (which was our back nine), there was 7 foursomes waiting. I'm and not exaggerating, 7 groups. Double teeing is fine, but this was ridiculous. Course was actually decent, but not enjoyable at all.

Course is in excellent shape tee to green. Greens are running fast. Pace of play was 4 hrs. for our foursome. Lots of different holes.

This is an older course with a good layout. The pace of play could be better, but it is the height of the fall golf season. The practice range is very average. The grass cover in the fairways is very good, but drainage issues which force cart off of the fairways well out from many greens need to be addressed. The greens had reasonably good pace to them. All in all, a very enjoyable golfing experience.

Excellent golf course that really made it a challenge. Had same problems with approach shots as Possum Trot. Hard greens surrounded by extremely soft approach area. Would definitely play this one again.

The course was in great shape. We started at the 10th at 8am. Tough par 5 into the early morning sun. Course started out a little wet but quickly dried up. Greens very fast and tough. Full round in about 4 hours. Would play again!!

Although the course had been recently aerified, the greens were very playable and did not distract from an enjoyable round of golf. We enjoyed the variety of challenges that the course presented with sole long holes, some short holes and some holes that presented options in strategy for the golfer. The pro shop staff, cart man, and the starter were kind and courteous before and after our round of golf. We had an wonderful experience and will definitely return to play again. We especially want to try hole # 10 again (par 5).

Good conditions. Decent layout, fair landing areas. Greens were good, but not overly fast. They had you teeing off on the back of the driving range on an upslope, hitting off of more sand than grass. Conditions on the course were very good. Staff not the friendliest at bag drop, this place is more a factory than the normal course here. Would play again though as good value for the $$$.

Overall very nice.

We played on 2/5/13 and the course was in pretty good shape. We had an afternoon tee time so the greens were a little beat up and bumpy from all the morning play, but they were playable. The staff was great and friendly and the rangers were doing a good job keeping the pace. We got around in just about 4 hours.

Played here today and really, really enjoyed the course. I've played a bunch of courses in the area and this was my favorite so far. Course was in fantastic condition for the end of December. The pace of play was pretty bad, the round took about 5 hours. The starter did say that play was backed up because of frost delay. I feel confident guessing that all 3 of the Myrtle Beach National courses are usually backed up, so I wasn't surprised that it was a slow round. The layout was great and the course was gorgeous. The rough was all dormant and dead and the fairways were bright green, maybe that is why I found the course so visually appealing? I'll have to give it or one of the other MBN courses a try this summer to see if that is why.

Rather narrow.

Tee boxes chewed up and fairways cut so short the ball did not set up and felt like we were playing on the ground. Crappy fairways led to an unpleasant experience for us. This is the 5th year here and the worst conditions.

Crowded, slow play ... trying to get as many golfers as possible out on the course.

Loved the layout. Course is in great shape. Very lady-friendly course and easy to get around. Chose this as our first course of the week, since there are very few blind or carry shots. Water comes into play on a couple of holes. My sky caddie and yardage on the sprinkler heads were together. Sand was a bit difficult. Greens putted true, although a little firm - expect some role when attacking flag.

Found the course a little tight for my game, had I known there were houses all around I would have booked somewhere else. But it's a nice layout and challenging, they had sanded the greens so that was disappointing for us.

Greens and fairways have been plugged recently. Had to improve my lie a lot. Overall I would give it a solid 8. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Very positive experience.

It has been a few years between rounds on SouthCreek course. Just like I remember. Great greens and fairways. As a higher handicap player it was a little too tight and way too many houses come into play with out of bounds. It is a great course, just bring extra balls as going onto the homeowners land is a no-no. FYI - On the 18th hole the sprinklers came on and soaked our bags and our cart. Pro shop said sorry, have a good day. No offer to dry our stuff, nothing. Rest of the outside guys were great.

Greens were not in good shape.

The course was in good shape overall. The greens and fairways were nice but the rough in some areas was in poor shape. Personally I didn't care much for it, there was too much out of bounds for me and fairways are kinda narrow. Scenery was OK, but nothing compared to some of the other courses in that area. If your going to play an MBN course, play King's North; its amazing.

Staff was friendly and professional. Greens on the front nine were in bad shape (burnt). Rest of course was in decent shape.

MB Nat'l SouthCreek gets a higher rating than Tradition, and an equal rating to MB Nat'l North? Wonder what these golfers were smoking? SouthCreek has very narrow fairways, and is framed with countless residences from tee to green. May be a great course, but only for the true shot makers!

We played on 1/31/12. Starter was nice enough to get us started a little early. The greens were my only complaint here. Some were hard and fast and other soft and sluggish. You have to be very cautious when putting due to the inconsistencies, but the course overall was in good condition. This course is TOO lady friendly with the par 5's just long par 4's. My wife would not allow me to score them as par 5's, so she played it as a par 69 course.

The new greens were great. Very hard, but really enjoyed them. We play this course every year because it is very friendly (easier) for the women, but also challenging for us men.

The course exceeded my expectations.

The greens were very inconsistent, service at grill was good but they threw us out each night as they wanted to leave. The starter was a crab. The on-course service was very poor. We had to call to get beverages and after we did we were told they would see us in a couple holes they didn't see us for another 9 holes. Nothing unique in my opinion, clubhouse staff was very non-plus about everything. I felt like I was in Vegas where they truly don't care.

Played on March 28th which was a chilly day for Myrtle Beach! Despite the cold weather MBN South is a tremendous bargain! Course was in great shape and you always had lots of information in terms of yardages to the hole. Greens rolled nice, can't beat the price!

Have played here before (RMGC). This was the first day of our trip, we got off the plane at 10:20 a.m., went straight to the course, had a great burger and they had us on the course within an hour. Course was in great shape and we started our 5-day visit in style.

Coming from Northern Ontario, where golf is a 4-month activity, to a year-round activity I couldn't believe how excellent your course set up and condition were. Your fair condition is probably better than our good condition. Everything about your course from staff, condition, layout etc. far exceeded my expectations and I would very much like to return to golf again.

Played both West (TWICE) and South Creek. Liked both. West was a little longer and more open. South Creek greens were much faster. Great time. Pace of play was great, early morning tee times were a bargain and let us have plenty of time for beach. Will be back.

Weakest/tightest of the 3 @ Myrtle Beach National, but has some interesting holes. Great hot dogs @ the grill. Good warm-up course, with very good staff.

I really enjoyed this course. The fairways were narrower than the West Course and the greens were near immaculate. I haven't played many of the courses in Myrtle Beach, but based on my previous experience, these greens were in great condition and were almost like putting on astro turf. The ball ran true to the line and can get away from you if you're not used to the speed. Overall, had a great round and would definitely consider returning in the future.

Course was in great condition other than freshly fertilized greens, which is not that big of a deal. The staff was wonderful and it was a great first day of golf in Myrtle Beach and I will try to play it again when we return.

I thought the course was in great shape. My girlfriend and I played May 6th and everything was very green and the fairways and greens were in very good shape. The bad part about it was how crowded the course was. Our foursome played right at the 4-hour mark and we still felt completely rushed. They sent too many groups directly after us which made it harder to enjoy the course.

Just wish the fairways weren't so dried out.

We had a very good experience there. A couple of our members were not experienced golfers and the course staff made them feel very welcome.

Pro shop staff did not attempt to arrange for a tee time with my hotel upon my first arrival at Myrtle. I had to go to my hotel and then return to the course.

Good. I try to avoid Myrtle Beach city. They have higher taxes and discriminate against tourists. I only play outside and eat outside the city.

Played here on 9/18 - lots of houses on the course, but you have to really be crooked to find them. Narrow fairways that do not offer much roll make this course play longer than the card says. On the day we played the greens were smooth and a medium speed, but they seemed to be a little grainy making them hard to read. All in all, a nice course for straight hitters while sprayers will have a long day. I will probably play here again.

Nice course, great smooth greens and it does play to a slope of 129 from the white tees; it is not a slouch, plenty of good bunkering. Greens are so smooth and true I had just 27 putts including one 3-putt. I highly recommend, they have multicourse/play specials that if you book ahead, you save $$$.
